Letter Examples
 
Aa as in the word “ask”, or “able”
Bb same as in English
Cc like “s” before “i” , “e” or “y”, otherwise like "k” in Creole.
Dd same as in English.
Ee as in “elevated” , “a” before “g”
Ff same as in English
Gg as in “s” in “pleasure” before e, i, y, ä or ö. Or “g” as in “God” elsewhere
Hh as in English like “Holiday”
Ii as in the word “ink”, never as in the word “island”
Jj like “j” without the “d” sound before it {job}.
Kk same as in English, sometimes sharper.
Ll like “l” in “life”.
Mm same as in English
Nn same as in English
Oo same as in English “Old” never as in “Hot” which is pronounced somehow like {hat}
Pp same as in English
Rr like the English in “brother” but rougher.
Ss same as in English
Tt same as “t”, sometimes as in “d”.
Uu as in the “ultra”, never as in the word “up” or “university”
Vv sounds like a “b”
Ww as in “v”.
Xx as “ks”.
Yy same as in English.
Zz as in “s”.
   
ch as “sh” before e, i, y, ä or ö, “chs” before a, o, å or u
å like in “ou”.
ä like in “ae” or the “a” in ache.
ö souds like the french “u” or the word “ultra”
  There is no Q in Swedish nowadays.
