Topic: Hindi to English

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me translate these two phrases from Hindi to English? (The spelling might be wrong since I am spelling the Hindi words in English, but I don't know any Hindi to write in that script)

1) Mein tumse pyar kartha hoon
2) Mein shaadi karna chahatha hoon

thanks in advance to anyone who can help me... :-)

Re: Hindi to English

Hi Dil,

1) Mein tumse pyar kartha hoon = I love You/I am in love with you .(this is the masculine form. In the feminine form Kartha would be changed to Karthi .

2) Mein shaadi karna chahatha hoon = I want to get married / My wish is to get married .

Regards

Re: Hindi to English

Hi Bluemerlin,

Thanks ever so much for your reply....you have no idea how much I appreciate it..!!... :-)

If I could trouble you a little more, would you be able to translate this for me as well please..?? (Again, I'm not sure of the spelling..sorry if it's wrong)

"Bachnaa ae haseeno wo mein (mey?) aagaya"

Thanks again

Re: Hindi to English

so I have this tatto that is in hindi I'm guessing the symbols of the language that i'm trying to have translated into english.....can anyone help me out?

Re: Hindi to English

LOL  sounds like it's taken from some Bollywood song :-)

This would most likely be taken to mean " Look out beautiful women, I have arrived / I am here !"

Like most cases of transalation : Context means everything :-)

Re: Hindi to English

Hey thanks again Bluemerlin!

And you're right probably right...it was most likely taken from a Bollywood song...the person who said it to me is a funny guy...context is most definitely everything..!!...and thanks again...you've been a truly great help... :-)
